Enlist® E3™ Soybeans: A Confident, Flexible Approach to Weed Control

Mar 13, 2026

Managing weeds effectively—especially resistant ones—requires flexibility, confidence, and a system that works with your operation. Enlist® E3™ soybeans are designed to give growers more options, more control, and greater peace of mind throughout the growing season.

With built-in tolerance to 2,4-D choline, glufosinate, and glyphosate, Enlist E3 soybeans allow you to use multiple modes of action to control tough weeds while helping reduce the risk of herbicide resistance.

Why Choose Enlist® E3™ Soybeans?

Enlist E3 soybeans offer robust weed management that fits seamlessly into modern agronomic practices. Key benefits include:

  • Tolerance to 2,4-D choline, glufosinate, and glyphosate
  • Flexibility to use multiple modes of action for improved weed control
  • Ability to apply approved Enlist herbicides pre-plant and in-crop
  • Support for managing hard-to-control and resistant weeds
  • Reduced weed competition during critical crop growth stages

This flexibility allows growers to tailor weed control to field conditions while maintaining strong agronomic practices.

Apply with Confidence Using Enlist™ Herbicides

Enlist™ 1 controls more than 40 broadleaf weeds and offers tank-mix flexibility and the ability to adjust the rates of glyphosate or glufosinate for hard-to-control and resistant weeds.

Application Guidelines at a Glance

Application Window

  • Apply Enlist herbicides within the labeled growth stage
  • Enlist E3 soybeans: Apply no later than R2 (full flowering)

Rainfast

  • Rainfast in 2 hours

Nozzles

  • Use only nozzle and pressure combinations that produce Coarse to Extremely Coarse spray droplets (ASAE S-572 standard)

Spray Rates & Volumes

  • Apply when weeds are under 10 cm (4 inches)
  • Enlist™ 1: 0.73 L/ac for hard-to-control or resistant weeds
  • Spray volume: 10–15 GPA with ground equipment

Tank-Mix Best Practices

Use spray rates from the product label when weeds are shorter than 10 cm (4 inches) and crops are within the appropriate growth stage window.

Enlist 1 herbicide: Apply at 0.73 L/ac for hard-to-control and resistant weeds.
Spray Volume: 10-15 GPA for ground equipment

Mixing Enlist™ 1 with Glyphosate

  1. Start with a clean sprayer
  2. The minimum water carrier volume with Enlist™1 herbicide is 10 gallons per acre
  3. Begin with the spray tank half full of water and agitation on
  4. Add Enlist™ 1 and allow 5 minutes for recirculation
  5. Add glyphosate while continuing agitation
  6. Fill the remainder of the tank with water
  7. Flush chem handlers and lines between products if applicable

Mixing Enlist™ 1 with Glufosinate

  1. Start with a clean sprayer and ½ tank of water
  2. The minimum water carrier volume with Enlist 1 herbicide is 10 gallons per acre, however, the recommend volume of 15 gallons per acre.
  3. Add 1–2.4 Lper acre of AMS
  4. Add Enlist 1
  5. Add Glufosinate 200SN, allowing time for recirculation
  6. Fill the remainder of the tank with water
  7. Flush chem handlers and lines between products if applicable

Recommended Product Order

  1. Dry formulations
  2. AMS (if using Liberty 200SN)
  3. Enlist 1 @ 0.73 L/ac
  4. High-load glyphosate or Liberty® 200SN
  5. Graminicide
  6. Adjuvants (if required)
  7. Remaining water

Tank Cleanout

After applying an Enlist herbicide, a triple-rinse cleanout procedure is required, as outlined on the product label.

A Program Approach to Weed Control

The greatest success with Enlist E3 soybeans comes from using Enlist herbicides as part of a total weed management program. This includes:

  • Burndown, pre-emergence, and post-emergence applications where appropriate
  • Including broad-spectrum soil residual herbicides to reduce resistance pressure
  • Following all label use rates and seasonal limits

Important label reminders:

  • Do not apply more than 3.5L/ac of Enlist Duo or 1.46 L/ac of Enlist 1 per use season
  • Do not apply more than 2 post-emergence applications per use season
  • Maintain a minimum of 12 days between post-emergence applications
